Hey Thom!

Listen-lion-006

Hey Thom!  Hey Thom!  I’m listening.  I hear you where did I go? Nathan, you know, it’s all about writing but there’s always something else to do like texting Binny or  having a drink I can’t remember how to put a black frame around a drawing so the drawing doesn’t look all gray and fade into the background of the post. I’m listening. Hey Thom! Hey Thom ! did you know that Van Morrison wrote Listen to the Lion in San Francisco? But you knew that. And then there are my friends saying I haven’t heard from you are you all right? What’s that all about? oh I know, I haven’t been posting.

just write any story

On March 16, 2012 I entered a post titled Van Morrison’s “Listen to the Lion” A Tattoo. Today I tried to copy it and add that post to this one, but then the old post overwrote this post and so on. After hours of by guess and by golly I finally figured out how to add a link. Bottom line is just leave it, finish this post and get back into the habit of blogging again! https://carlasaunders.com/2012/03/16/listen-to-the-lion-a-tattoo/

Van Morrison’s “Listen to the Lion” – A Tattoo

This is one of my favorite photographs. I was admiring this guy’s tattoo and asked him what it said. I was so glad I asked. We shared some stories and I learned about tattoos and this song. Van Morrison recorded “Listen to the Lion” in San Francisco. The Irish Gaelic translation of Listen to the Lion is tattooed on his arm.

Listen to the Lion” is a song featured on Northern Irish singer-songwriter Van Morrison‘s sixth album, Saint Dominic’s Preview (1972).
