Zilch – Steal Like an Artist – China

Lunch Near the Yangtze River, China   charcoal on paper

Steal Like an Artist  by Austin Kleon was given to me for Christmas. It  gave me permission to do this. So here I go Rommel stealing your idea. http://thesophomoreslump2.com/2013/01/06/

But in a week I may really have zilch, zero, nothing.

I signed up for The Sketchbook Project

I’m to make an Artists’ Book and have it in the mail going to Brooklyn by the 15th of January.

(Haven’t started it yet.)

Packing my clean empty sketchbook I’ll fly to some exotic land and fill it with wondrous images. (Stayed home.)

I’ll create a book titled Christmas in San Francisco. (Got busy getting ready for Christmas.)

I’ll put together a book collaborating with my grand-daughter  (Did one drawing in ten days.)

She was drawing this painted garage across the street. Click to see doves of peace in eyes.

This painting was my favorite. We wandered around the Mission District which is filled with murals organized by Precita Eyes. http://www.precitaeyes.org/tours.htm

I have seven days to create a book. Here you can follow a work in progress. We’ll see if in a week I have a finished product. If not  – zilch.
