A Porkpie Fedora,Wingtips and a Sax Thrown In – San Francisco

The guy sitting over there on the right. His foot kept bobbing up and down, like it just kept it’s own rhythm with music that filled the room. It was just an ol’ dark shoe with a pointed toe, not new.

About that foot, that shoe. It was more than a dark ol’ shoe. It was full of color and sound, soul.  It didn’t care who was watching.porkpie-fedora-2905

I’m big and brassy. I shine. My sound comes from deep within.

Three acrylic paintings size from top on down 14″ x 11″, 18″ x 16″, 14″ x 11″

These paintings were painted January 2013 after hearing McCoy Tyner, Bobby Hutcherson, Joshua Redman and Regina Carter perform with The SFJazz Collective perform at the new San Francisco Jazz Center.
