I am a 3rd generation Californian, who has lived in the Bay Area most of my life. I have shown welded steel sculpture in the San Francisco Museum of Art, abstract oil paintings in the San Diego Museum of Art and transparent hanging pieces in the Mills College Art Museum. After working with Black Boots Ink my work has been exhibited in a public art installation where we, photographers, returned images of the street back to the street. My Artists’ Books and paintings are in local and national collections.
I draw, paint, write and make photographs wherever I go. When traveling I sketch in handmade books that I have prepared especially for the trip. Later, these images become inspirations for paintings. After I’ve finished a series of paintings and an Artists’ Book, I send the artwork out into the world. If my work gives a few minutes of contemplation or pleasure to another person then I have done my job.

Thank you for your kind comments.Recovery is taking its time. I’d like to be on a sailboat where I could sleep under the stars. wake up , roll into the sea for a swim then get out and have breakfast! I did that once near the Grenadine Islands. I tell people about your blog all the time. Sometimes I don’t find ‘like’ buttons but I am there looking often 🙂
