A Drawing a Day

I hear a good way to improve one’s drawing skills is to sketch every day so here we go – starting January 1st 2017,  I’ll be posting a drawing a day. The biggest challenge will be to get over the idea that every drawing I post has to be perfect. Musee d’Orsay small bronze sculpture of young dancer by Degas.

  1. This is a stunning way to begin the New Year. I look forward to each drawing, even the ones that you might not consider perfect. Each will be a treat because each will be a bit of you. Xx

  2. Great idea Carol. Maybe I’ll start writing a poem a day…I even think there’s a web site for it
with prompts. I’ll see if I can keep up with you!

    • That’s what this is. It’s a public group on facebook. I’m sure my drawings will improve if I can do it. Right now I’m all in a muddle having WordPress FB Instagram and this FB group. Gotta have my kids simplify all this for me. Try it 🙂 I love your poetry.

  3. You go girl! This drawing is fabulous. This doesn’t mean they all have to be fabulous, but you sure got off to a good start! Are we meeting tomorrow night? Yikes. I am STILL not ready…. But will be there if it’s happening. Wishing you all good wishes for the new year. love, Nora

  4. This is great, Carla, and you’re setting a high bar with this one! How big is it? Medium? Hope we get together for some of this – soon! JInn
