Get out the Brushes app and draw.
Watching soccer in a Seattle bar.
On the airplane with no paper and pen
But iphone in my purse.
Great way to try out new ways to draw or paint.

Hi Chris – Thanks – I hadn’t seen that article. My husband draws on his ipad but as Hockney says it takes a lot of time to learn so I stick with my iphone app. Then I don’t do it for a long time. I forget what to do. Then try it out again. I saw a great show of Hockney’s English countryside trees and roads in NY about two years ago.

I think your woman with colorful face — is absolutely gorgeous!
It reminds me of a Henri Matisse painting which is similar.., called “Femme au chapeau” (woman with the Hat).

Hi Sarah
Thank you
It’s always good to try out a new medium. You never know what you are going to produce. Look up David Hockney’s ipad and iphone drawings. He’s good!

It’s an iphone application. Look up Hockney iphone and ipad drawings. He has been doing them for years. Makes one and shoots it off to his friends.

I love all of these sketches! The man in the plane reminds me of pen and ink drawings which I’ve always had a fondness for.
