Making the decision not to renew Apple’s website has caused a few glitches like having no place on the net to show my artwork. I’ll need to rebuild it somewhere. Meanwhile this painting, The Guardians is one of the paintings shown in an exhibit called Taken from my sketchbook: Egypt 2006. My paintings introduce large scale light boxes set within canvas structures to highlight artwork inspired by sketches done during a trip to Egypt. Size: 54″ x 84″ Beeswax, acrylic on canvas, mixed media on mulberry paper.
I can tell that this is not the first time at all that you write about this topic. Why have you decided to touch it again?

People were asking me about the Egypt paintings so I decided to post them again. I lost this blog. We were able to retrieve the past blogs but not the images. That’s why there are lots of question marks. The Egypt series of paintings has a life of its own. My paint brushes have been replaced by a camera for a while. Thanks for your interest. Carla
